DUBAI, UAE – In a major disruption to global air travel, Emirates Airline has announced the temporary suspension of all operations to and from its Dubai hub. The grounding, effective immediately, follows the closure of multiple regional airspaces, creating a significant bottleneck for one of the world’s busiest aviation corridors.
The suspension is currently slated to remain in place until 1500hrs UAE time on Sunday, 1 March.
Emirates has issued an urgent advisory for passengers scheduled to fly within the next 72 hours. The airline is offering two primary pathways for those caught in the disruption:
- Rebooking: Passengers may move their flight to a later date (up to 10 days from the original departure) at no additional cost.
- Refunds: Customers who no longer wish to travel can request a full refund via the airline’s website.
