Passengers on an easyJet flight from London Luton to Alicante intended to “join the mile high club” while locking themselves in the aircraft toilet.
An easyJet flight on 8 August 2025 was disturbed when two a couple of passengers, believed to be in their thirties, began drinking heavily before the incident. Witnesses said the woman shouted across the cabin about her intentions, despite repeated attempts by crew to calm her down.
“She was very drunk and kept demanding more alcohol,” one passenger recalled. “When the cabin crew suggested coffee, she shouted back, ‘I’m not having coffee!’ and insisted on more drink.”
Soon after, the woman staggered down the aisle, rushed into the toilet. Shouting for her partner to “help,” she let him inside, where the pair locked the door. What followed left little doubt about what they were doing as passengers could hear the noises — grunts, groans, everything.
Crew members attempted to intervene but were unable to stop the couple. Eventually, the situation was escalated to the captain, and police were called to meet the aircraft on arrival in Alicante. The pair were escorted off the plane by Spanish authorities.

In a statement, EasyJet confirmed the incident:
“We can confirm that flight EZY2317 from Luton to Alicante on 8 August was met by police upon landing in Alicante due to some passengers behaving disruptively onboard. We take these incidents seriously and do not tolerate disruptive behaviour. The safety and wellbeing of our customers and crew is always EasyJet’s highest priority.”
