Several airlines suspend flights to Russia after the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines Embraer ERJ-190.
Following the gps jamming and the air defense missile resulting in the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines Embraer ERJ-190 near Aktau, Kazakhstan, several airlines decided to halt routes to Russia:
- Azerbaijan Airlines suspends flights to 7 Russian cities from Baku (Mineralnye Vody, Sochi, Volgograd, Ufa, Samara, Grozny & Makhachkala)
- El Al suspends Tel Aviv – Moscow route for the coming week, citing “developments in Russia’s airspace”
- flyDubai suspends flights from Dubai to Sochi & Mineralnye Vody
- Qazaq Airlines suspends flights between Astana & Yekaterinburg
