The Airbus A380 departed late at 16:04 GMT for a scheduled departure of 14:30 GMT.
More than 3 hours later, while reaching the Greenland coast at 37,000 ft, the aircraft (registration G-XLEF) turned around.
British Airways is planning a new takeoff at 23:30 GMT.
As the reason of this return is still unknown, the airline s’ fleet of 12 Airbus A380s has been experiencing a series of technical incidents in recent weeks.
