KLM Boeing 777 performing flight to Boston, was forced to make a U-turn over UK.
KLM flight #KL617 departed Amsterdam this Sunday at 17:32 CEST to Boston for a scheduled flight of about 7 hours.
The Boeing 777-206ER (registration PH-BQB) climbed to 36,000 ft over the North Sea before entering UK airpsace.
But less than one hour into flight, the crew decided to turn around due to technical difficulties with the aircraft.
The flight descended to 35,000 ft then was vectored back to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
The Boeing 777 landed at 19:25 CEST on runway 18R almost 2 hours after departure.
The airline is announcing a new departure at 22:40, probably with a spare aircraft.
