Ural Airlines Engineering and technical staff have started dismantling the Airbus A320 aircraft (RA-73805) that landed in a field near Novosibirsk one year ago after running out of fuel on September 12, 2023.
In the beginning, they planned and invested too much to remove the plane by taking-off from the field itself, but when they realized it’s not feasible, they abandoned the idea.
The aircraft parts dismantling work is aimed to be completed by December this year. The carrier noted that some parts of the aircraft may be used in the future.
