A passenger at Santiago International Airport in Chile was arrested after smashing equipment at an American Airlines check-in counter with a hammer.
The man flew into a destructive rage at Santiago International Airport on Tuesday after reportedly learning he had been scammed and sold a fake airplane ticket to Miami, where he was planning to fly on his way to Haiti.
The damage, estimated at around 20 million Chilean pesos (approximately $22,000), included five computers and six screens.
Authorities arrested the man, who is scheduled to appear before a judge.
