Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 2 has been evacuated this morning as emergency services swarmed the area.

Images circulating on social media shows what appears to be crowds of holidaymakers stood along the airport’s entrance as multiple police vans scour the area.

Police were also reportedly seen roaming the premises with sniffer dogs.

Multiple confused travellers took to X saying holidaymakers had been left in the dark as to why they were being evacuated.

One user wrote: “T2 being evacuated…everyone sitting around waiting with no info?”

Suspicious package

London Heathrow Terminal 2 has been evacuated due to a suspicious package.

This morning (5th July) our teams responded to an incident in Terminal 2 which has now been resolved. We ask passengers to check with your airline if flying from Terminal 2. Passengers are allowed to go back into terminal 2.
