A Delta Airlines flight to Amsterdam has made an emergency landing in New York City after passengers were served spoiled food during the flight.
Delta flight #DL136 from Detroit, Michigan to Amsterdam, The Netherlands diverted to JFK Airport early this morning after it was discovered that a portion of the in-flight meal service had been spoiled.
The A330 plane (registration N816NW), which had 277 customers on board, departed from Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport just before 11pm Tuesday.
The flight landed safely on runway 22L at New York JFK around 4am Wednesday, July 3 2024.

It is not yet known how many passengers consumed the spoiled food but medics met the plane after it landed at JFK to provide treatment any passengers and crew members who had been affected.
Medical crews were on site to meet the aircraft and treat any affected passengers and crew members.
