Air Transat flight from Rome to Montreal diverted to London Gatwick.

Air Transat flight #TS403 departed Rome terminal 3 today Thursday, June 6 2024 12:25 CEST for a 8-hour flight to Montreal.

The flight was performed by a 21-year-old Airbus A330-200 (registration C-GUBD) which arrived at Rome 2 hours late the previous day on flight #TS402 from Montreal.

After about 4 hours in the the flight, while the aircraft was cruising at 39,000 ft in the middle of Atlantic, the crew decided to turn around due to a technical issue.

The aircraft descended to 25,000 ft and the airline decided to divert the flight to London Gatwick where it landed on runway 26L at about 2 hours later, 6 hours after departure from Rome Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport.

The airline is confirming AIRLIVE an additional stop in London and announcing a delay of 25 hours and 10 minutes for landing at Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport.

The airbus A330-200 is under maintenance at the time we’re writing this article.
