Two Airbus A380s landed the same morning at two different London Airports, a first.
An unprecedented situation this morning at London as three Qantas flights landed at London Airports including two A380 aircraft.
The classic #QF1 from Sydney via Singapore landed at 07:00 BST this morning at London Heathrow after a 14 hours and 15 minutes flight. It was operated by an Airbus A380 (registration VH-OQA) the oldest of the fleet, recently back to service after years of storage.
Even earlier, a Qantas Boeing 787-9 (registration VH-ZNF) also landed at 05:30 BST at London Heathrow from Singapore. This follows the situation between Iran and Israel, forcing the airline to change the flight path of its Perth-London direct route with now a stopover in Singapore.
But the star of the day is another Qantas A380 which landed for the first time at London Gatwick. The charter flight landed at 07:45 BST from Sydney via Singapore as well. It was operated by the plane registration VH-OQJ.
So three Qantas long-haul aircraft are currently in London and will all depart today for the same destination.
