Passengers on the low-cost airline easyJet went through an unusual situation last Sunday when their flight from Tenerife to London was canceled due to a mess left on the bathroom floor.
Previously, the flight delay had already caused inconvenience, but the situation worsened when a passenger soiled the bathroom in such an extreme way that there was not enough time for adequate cleaning.
As a result, the passengers were forced to spend another night in Tenerife and were only able to return to their destination the following day. On social media, some passengers expressed their dissatisfaction with the situation and questioned why EasyJet had not resolved the problem quickly and efficiently.
In response, the airline apologized for the inconvenience and promised to refund hotel costs. The passenger responsible for the mess has not been publicly identified, but is believed to have been ill.
A video shared online shows one of the pilots explaining the situation to passengers who were on board the plane at the time of the incident.
Real good of @easyJet to delay the flight 3.5 hours with 0 communication then decide to cancel it altogether because someone took a shit on the toilet floor🤯 quite literally couldn’t make this shit up🥲 #easyjet pic.twitter.com/E9lpCA4rew

This is not the first case of flight disruptions due to hygiene problems. Last month, a Delta flight heading from Atlanta to Barcelona had to return an hour after departure due to a passenger who had an attack of diarrhea and ended up dirtying the aisle of the aircraft.
According to the pilots, there was a biological risk to the health of passengers, which made it unfeasible to continue the flight.
