American Airlines flight #AA155 to Seattle aborted takeoff from London.
The Boeing 777-200ER left the Terminal 3 and lined up on runway 27R. Pilots switched to full thrust then very suddenly stopped and aborted take off.
The aircraft (reg. N778AN) quickly exited the runway with a strange engine noise.
The flight is now delayed and the plane returned to the gate due to a technical issue.
American Airlines confirmed us “that AA155 has been delayed due to maintenance. It’s now estimated to depart at 4:00p and arrive at 5:45p”.
However the aircraft is still on the ground at London Heathrow.
