China’s first domestically made large passenger jet, the C919, completed its inaugural commercial flight on Sunday.
China’s self-developed narrow-body jet C919, carrying more than 130 passengers, takes off from Shanghai to Beijing in its first commercial flight, one of the busiest domestic flight routes, for China Eastern Airlines on Sunday.
China’s first domestically made large passenger jet, the C919, completed its inaugural commercial flight on Sunday. It received a grand “water gate” welcome after landing, the highest level of welcome celebration in civil aviation.
Flight MU9191, operated by China Eastern Airlines, took off from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport at 10:32 a.m. with more than 130 passengers on board and landed at Beijing Capital International Airport at 12:31 p.m.
