Kai Forsyth, from Derby, was on board the eight hour flight from London Gatwick and said he had the “weirdest experience.”

The young man claims to be the only passenger (apart from the crew) on the British Airways flight and it came with many perks. Filming videos for his TikTok, he shows the seemingly empty plane on Monday’s journey (January 10).

He shows aisles of empty seats and wrote: “The cabin crew said I was the only person onboard the flight. It was eight hours so I set up a bed. Literally the comfiest I’ve ever been on a plane,” he states within the video.

Kai also claims that he was given a huge box full of Walkers shortbread biscuits to enjoy since there were apparently no other passengers: “They literally gave me all the snacks and unlimited food,” he wrote.

What is weird is he could not be upgraded to Business or First Class despite the plane being apparently empty. And the man doesn’t look very smart, publishing gross videos on his account.

However, one user commented that this was not the case. The commenter claimed to be a crew member on the same flight. They wrote: “I was the crew member on the flight… He really wasn’t the only pax on the flight…. economy is split into two sections, he was in the second part which did only have 13 in, 83 in economy in total. 13 in premium economy, 22 in business class. this LGW-MCO flight was the last of the season hence why so empty, but the return flight was completely full.”

It remains uncertain exactly what happened given Kai and the crew member have very different accounts.
