BOSTON — A Dublin-bound JetBlue flight transformed into a chaotic journey on Monday night after a fistfight erupted near the aircraft’s lavatories shortly after takeoff, according to flight details and pilot radio communications.

JetBlue Flight B6353 departed Boston Logan International Airport from Runway 22L at 8:35 p.m. EDT on Monday, October 19, 2026, heading for Ireland. However, just minutes into the climb, cabin calm shattered when an altercation broke out among passengers in the aisle.

The pilots quickly notified air traffic control of the disruption, reporting a fist fight near the lavatory. According to initial communications, several rattled passengers expressed safety concerns and explicitly requested that the plane turn around and return to Boston so they could disembark.

Despite the tense situation aboard the Airbus A321neo (registration N2199J), the flight crew opted to proceed with the crossing. The aircraft continued its track off the New England coast and navigated across the North Atlantic without making an emergency diversion.

Ironically, after the turbulent start, the flight encountered favorable winds along its ocean route. The aircraft touched down safely at Dublin Airport at 7:35 a.m. IST on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, arriving nearly an hour ahead of its scheduled arrival time.

It remains unconfirmed whether law enforcement met the flight upon arrival in Dublin or if any arrests were made following the incident. JetBlue has not yet released an official statement regarding the cause of the altercation or the status of the passengers involved.
