During the night of Sunday to Monday, a USAF C-17 has left Kabul with 800 passengers on board.
During chaos at Kabul Airport, the US Air Force was evacuating embassy personnel and civilians on Sunday night.
A US Air Force C-17 (reg. 01-0186) managed to take off despite the chaos.
It’s now confirmed that 800 souls were onboard the aircraft.
The ATC controller could not believe it:
- How many people do you think are on your jet?
- 800 people on your jet???
- Holy f-…
However it’s not impossible. The max payload of C-17 is 170,900 lbs, but the aircraft was not supposed to carry so many passengers.
