Norwegian Air is close to reaching an agreement with Italian leisure carrier Neos for the sale of two of its 787-9 Dreamliners amid the coronavirus pandemic.
These two 787-9s will join Neos fleet of four Dreamliners of the same model and replace Neos Air Boeing 767. Neos Air returned three 767s to the lessor recently.
Currently, both of these Norwegian 787s are stored at Oslo. Due to global travel restrictions and low demand all 37 Norwegian Dreamliners are currently parked across airports in Northern Europe including its base at Oslo.
Neos is the first Italian Boeing 787 operator. The airline took delivery of its first Dreamliner, with registration EI-NEO on December 25th, 2017.
Upon arrival, these two 787s will also be stored in Italy at Neos main base at Milano’s Malpensa Airport.
Both of these 787-9s are owned by the AerCap lessor.
