Norwegian Air will restart flights to and from UK airports from July 1 “as a result of increased customer demand”.
The airline will resume flights on 76 routes halted during the coronavirus outbreak and bring back into service 12 of its mothballed aircraft on top of the eight already flying, as European countries reopen and demand for flights rises.
Norwegian Air will serve Gatwick and Edinburgh to and from Oslo and Copenhagen.
From July Norwegian will operate 76 routes across Europe from the airline’s Scandinavian hubs compared to the 13 domestic Norway only flights served today.
Other destinations include Spain, Greece and key European cities.
