Eleven passengers of Emirates flight EK450 were injured after the plane made an emergency landing in Indonesia’s Bali, an airport spokesman said on Tuesday.

“The plane encountered a clear air turbulence above Singapore at a height of 35,000 feet, making 11 passengers injuried,” said Arie Ahsanurrohim, spokesman of I Gusti Ngurah Rai international Airport in Bali.

He added that 326 people were onboard the flight when the incident took place.

The Boeing 777-300 plane was flying from Dubai to Auckland, New Zealand, via Bali. The aircraft made the emergency landing at Bali airport at 15:07 p.m. local time.

According to Arie, five of the injured ones were treated in the airport medical facility and two others were rushed to Bali International Medical Center (BIMC) hospital in Kuta, near the airport.

Due to checking procedures and cleansing works in the plane’s cabin, departure of EK450 flight to Auckland was delayed, Arie said.
