Thirty staff at Stansted Airport have gone on strike for the entirety of the Bank Holiday weekend as a row over pay continues. The security staff walked out in the early hours of Monday morning and didn’t return until 11:59 that night. The GMB trade union said that 87% of it’s workers at Stansted voted for a strike. The airport has claimed that the industrial action taken did not affect any travel plans at the airport.
