NEWS Jet Airways flight diverted to Oman, bomb scare tweet cited

A Jet Airways Mumbai-Dubai flight was on Thursday evening occupied to Muscat taking after a bomb risk followed on a Twitter account, authorities in Mumbai said.

Flight 9W 536, which left from Mumbai at 12.46 p.m. for Dubai, had 54 travelers and seven team individuals locally available, a Jet Airways representative said.

After the bomb danger was followed on a Twitter account by a man named Surender Pratap, Jet Airways instantly swung without hesitation and redirected the flight to the closest airplane terminal, Muscat in Oman, where it landed securely around 2.50 p.m.

Omani security offices completed an inquiry of the air ship, things and freight, as per data got here.

The carrier and air terminal powers are additionally finding the Twitter account from where the risk with the particular flight number and take-off time were specified, the authorities said.

“All visitors and group landed with no occurrence and were taken to the air terminal. The Omani security organizations are completing an inquiry of the air ship, stuff and load at present,” the aircraft said in an announcement.

“Visitors are being cared for and have been given refreshments.”

Riyaz Kuttery, general director of Jet Airways, Oman was cited by neighborhood media: “It (air ship) was taken to a disengaged narrows and every one of the travelers were cleared. The flight is at this time grounded at Muscat International Airport and we are sitting tight for clearances from the concerned powers to fly once more.”

The airplane terminal was shut for around 10 minutes taking after the bomb alarm.
