Turkish Airlines has announced today that it has acquired landing slots for Heathrow from Scandinavian Airlines
Turkish Airlines said today “In oder to strengthen our flight network our incorporation has decided to take over one afternoon landing and take-off right (slot pair) at London Heathrow from Scandinavian Airlines at the beginning of the winter traffic program on the 25th October.”
Turkish Airlines now will have 38 weekly slot-pairs at London Heathrow Airport.
It has also been rumoured that Turkish Airlines is thinking of leasing a few A380s from Malaysia Airlines that is expected to fly to and from the UK.
