The Ukrainian Defense Intelligence Directorate reports that parachutes of ejected Russian military pilots cannot open after ejection.
A Russian Su-25 plane was shot down by the Ukrainian air defense system. The pilot ejected, but died as his parachute did not open after the ejection.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said a detailed study of the wreckage of this case and previously shot down Russian planes is underway.

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said the preliminary results suggest that one of the reasons for the parachute’s failure may be its deliberate improper installation before departure.
