STOCKHOLM — A flight crew operating a Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) Airbus A320neo transmitted a technical notification to ground maintenance teams after discovering physical damage to a cockpit device en route near Stockholm, Sweden.

The crew of the Airbus A320neo (registration SE-RUP) transmitted air-to-ground message at 12:15 UTC, flagging an issue with the flight deck’s Electronic Logbook (ELB) display screen.

The primary flight deck ELB (a tablet or digital interface used by pilots to record technical logs, performance calculations, and operational data) sustained a hairline crack across its display.

While the crew confirmed the device remained operational, they flagged a potential safety hazard regarding sharp glass edges, noting a risk of splinters or minor cuts during manual touchscreen interaction.

The report was routed directly to ground support teams to arrange a replacement unit or protective screen cover upon landing, ensuring no disruption to flight operations or crew safety.

The SAS flight SK867 flew from Stockholm Arlanda and landed at Oslo on runway 19R few minutes ago.
