A flight in Australia was delayed for over an hour after a stowaway snake was found in the cargo hold.
Today, Virgin Australia flight VA337 to Brisbane was delayed at Melbourne Airport after a green tree snake was found in the forward cargo compartment.
A professional snake catcher took about half an hour to reach the airport, then security took another 15 minutes to go through the security.
By that point, passengers had already boarded and were left waiting on the tarmac while the situation was handled.

The reptile was found and finally caught in the cargo hold of the Boeing 737 MAX 8 (registration VH-8IG).
Flight VA337 was originally scheduled to depart at 4:10 p.m., but didn’t take off until approximately 6:23 p.m. It landed in Brisbane at around 8:30 p.m.
