Following a eight-hour flight cruising at 38,000 feet over the Atlantic Ocean, the aircraft began its final descent into Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport (FCO).
As the widebody jet made its approach into the Italian capital, flight crew members faced a severe medical crisis in the cabin. A male passenger suffered a sudden medical event, prompting the cabin crew to issue an urgent call for medical professionals on board.
