The Icelandair flight FI5443 departed Paris Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport at 15:36 CEST delayed over 5 hours.
One hour after departure, pilots declared a general emergency (squawk 7700) and started the descent near Liverpool due to a technical issue with the aircraft.
The flight is operated by a Boeing 767-300ER (registration TF-ISW) which is 27 years old and not carrying passengers
