A Saudia flight from Jeddah to Jakarta diverted to Medan after pilots declared an emergency.
Saudia flight SV5276 departed Jeddah Monday, June 16 2025 at 22:19 AST. The Boeing 777-300ER (registration HZ-AK32) climbed to 31,000 feet over Saudi Arabia then to 33,000 feet over India.
Pilots declared a general emergency (squawk 7700) between Malaysia and Indonesia then diverted to Medan Kuala Namu International Airport where it landed on runway 23, 8 hours and 24 minutes after departure.
Flight operations at KNO Airport were halted following the emergency landing. Two flights (IW1249 and GA6416) were circling until landings resumed on runway 05.
