Five people have died following a mid-air collision between two civilian helicopters in Finland, according to local police.
The helicopters, which had departed together from Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, crashed around 12:00 local time (10:00 GMT) near Eura Airport.
Emergency crews located the wreckage in a wooded area. Police confirmed that two people were aboard one helicopter and three were in the other.
Local media reported the helicopters were en route to an aviation event at the Piikajärvi Flight Center in Kokemäki.
Both aircraft were foreign-registered civilian helicopters. Estonian entrepreneur Vaino Kaldoja confirmed to the business newspaper Aripaev that both Sonajalg and Jaagant were involved in the accident.
According to data, a third helicopter was flying behind the two aircraft involved in the crash but was not part of the collision.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the crash. Finnish and Estonian officials say they are cooperating closely in the ongoing inquiry.
