Pilots of a Turkish Airlines flight declared an emergency during largest ever drone attack on Moscow.
The flight #TK419 departed Istanbul in middle of night Tuesday, March 11 2025 to Moscow Vnukovo International Airport.
The Airbus A330-300 (registration TC-JNH) flew over Romania, Poland and Belarus to avoid Ukrainian airspace.
While the flight was on approach to Moscow, Ukraine targeted Russian capital in what authorities said was its largest ever drone attack sparking fires and forcing the suspension of flights and train travel.
All Airports in Moscow have been closed so inbound flights had to find solutions.

The flight #TK419 turned around and started circling in Belarus airspace before the pilots declared an emergency (squawk 7700) due to low fuel.
The Airbus A330 was allowed to land in Vilnius, Lithuania. The aircraft was refueled and departed 3 hours later, back to Istanbul.
The Russian Defense Ministry said that the country was allegedly attacked by hundreds of Ukrainian drones at night, and that 337 of them were allegedly shot down.
