The flight VS8 departed Los Angeles at 15:22 PST yesterday for a 10h 20m flight to London Heathrow.
The crew declared an emergency (squawk 7700) while entering Irish airspace, one hour from London LHR.
The flight is operated by an Airbus A350K (registration G-VJAM).
