Delta flight from Las Vegas to Los Angeles declared an emergency immediately after take off following a technical issue with the aircraft.
Tuesday, September 3 2024, a 22-year-old Boeing 737-800 experienced a technical issue right after takeoff.
The aircraft (registration N3766) departed runway 26R at 18:10 PDT. It climbed to 7,000 ft when the crew declared an emergency.
As the pilots reported having a flap issue, the flight entered a short hold until it was vectored back to LAS Airport.
The Boeing 737-800 landed back on the same runway only 34 minutes after departure.
The aircraft is now under maintenance.
