United Airlines flight from Edinburgh to Chicago turned around South of Iceland and diverted to Dublin.
United Airlines flight #UA119 departed Edinburgh this Tuesday, August 6 2024 at 11:45 BST to Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
The Boeing 757-200 (registration N19136) climbed to FL340 ove the Atlantic until it reached the South of Iceland.
The pilots then contacted ATC and decided to turn around near Reykjavik, then decided to divert to Dublin due to a hydraulic issue.
The aircraft landed on runway 28L almost 4 hours after departure and was followed by the fire brigade.
The Boeing 757 is now under maintenance at Dublin Airport and the flight is canceled.
