Six passengers and six cabin crew reported injuries due to turbulence on a flight from Qatar to Ireland today.

Qatar Airways flight QR17 from Doha landed safely as scheduled at Dublin Airport shortly before 13.00 on Sunday.

Upon landing, the aircraft was met by emergency services, including Airport Police and Fire and Rescue department, due to 6 passengers and 6 crew on board reporting injuries after the aircraft experienced turbulence while airborne over Turkey.

The flight was operated by a Boeing 787-9 registration A7-BHM this Sunday, May 26 2024. The aircraft was flying at 36,000 ft altitude over Turkey when the incident occurred.

The Dublin Airport team continues to provide full assistance on the ground to passengers and airline staff.

The return flight to Doha (flight QR018) is scheduled to operate as normal, albeit with a delay.
