A Transavia Boeing 737-800 was evacuated at Gran Canaria Airport in Spain after the crew received a fire warning in the cargo hold.
The Transavia Boeing 737-800 with registration PH-HXL was performing flight HV6365 from Eindhoven. However, shortly after landing in Gran Canaria, the crew declared an emergency after they received a fire warning in the cargo hold.
The Boeing 737 decided to taxi off the runway to a nearby stand, stating the intention to conduct a rapid disembarkation via steps. However, on reaching the stand, no steps were available and after some minutes the decision was made to evacuate via slides.

The airport RFFS surrounded the aircraft and stated no fire or smoke was observed. All the passengers and crew members evacuated via slides.
No injuries were reported, though most of the passengers left everything behind, and few carried their belongings.
