A Flybondi Boeing 737 sustained substantial damage in a severe tailstrike during touchdown on the runway at Mar del Plata Airport in Argentina.
The Boeing 737-800 with registration LV-KJE was operating flight FO5720 from Buenos Aires-Aeroparque to Mar del Plata. However, while landing at Mar del Plata, the aircraft suffered a tail strike.
The low-cost carrier’s B737 sustained damage to its lower and rear area, including a tailstrike against the runway.
Footage shared on the internet shows the descent at night and a loud impact on landing.

Flybondi stated that both passengers and crew safely disembarked, emphasizing that the incident resulted from a hard landing.
The Transportation Safety Board (JST) promptly reported the accident, initiating an investigation.
“Accident with the Boeing 737-8Q8 LV-KJE aircraft that occurred at Astor Piazzolla International Airport, Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, at approximately 01:28 UTC. Investigate headquarters,” stated the JST statement.
