Ryanair flight from Brussels to Manchester declared an emergency and diverted.
The flight #FR614 was on approach to Manchester Airport, when ATC asked the pilots to enter holding pattern.
The wind was gusting up to 41kt so the traffic was regulated.
The Ryanair Boeing 737-800 (reg. EI-DLD) was on hold for more than 40 minutes.
But pilots squawked 7700 (general emergency) due to low fuel, forcing the flight to divert.
The aircraft landed 10 minutes later at Liverpool.
