On 26th August, an American Airlines Airbus A319 suffered a bird strike on approach to Phoenix.
The Airbus A319-100 with registration N836AW was operating flight AA761 from San Jose to Phoenix. However, while flight AA761 was on approach to Phoenix, a bird impacted the nose cone of the aircraft.
Flight AA761 continued to a safe landing on Phoenix’s runway 07R without any further impacts.
The dented nosecone was replaced within hours of the incident.
2005 built American Airlines Airbus A319-132 aircraft (N836AW) received a major damage to the nose radome due to a bird strike while on approach to the Phoenix international Airport (PHX/KPHX) on 26 August.

Following the incident, the FAA reported, “Aircraft struck a bird leaving a dent in the nose cone, Phoenix, AZ.”
