The American Airlines flight #AA723 was about to depart to Philadelphia.
The seven-year-old aircraft (reg. N812AA) arrived in Dublin on flight #AA208 from Chicago at 11:30 am on Sunday.
The Boeing 787-8 was due to depart about 2 hours later.
