Three passengers on board Air Caraibes flight from Paris Orly to French Guiana were arrested after a brawl erupted among the passengers.
Multiple videos were shared on the internet of the brawl. The three passengers were taken into police custody and were presented to the prosecution. The prosecution qualified the incident as “violent and severe “.
Such incidents are “inadmissible and intolerable behaviours. They call into question the safety of the flight, of the passengers,” said the Public Prosecutor’s Office. Public prosecutor Samuel Finielz mentioned that such violence makes it potentially criminal, and the penalties can go up to 3 years in prison.

Commenting on this incident, Air Caraibes said that serious incivilities occurred between two groups of passengers in the middle and end of flight TX570. The airline further said:
“As soon as the altercations began, the company’s cabin crew intervened to put an end to it, which incidentally resulted in a slight injury to one of them. The other passengers were not involved but deeply shocked. The Captain informed the local authorities as soon as the clashes began and filed a complaint. When the flight arrived, the police (at the borders, editor’s note)immediately arrested the persons concerned (5 in number).”
The incident will be investigated to determine the causes of these altercations.
