Airlines in Japan will cancel more than 1,500 domestic flights on Saturday due to a powerful typhoon.
Japan Airlines will cancel 513 flights across the country including most to and from Haneda and Narita airports. All Nippon Airways will cancel 490 flights including all to and from Haneda and Narita.
The other affected carriers are Skymark Airlines with 111 flights, Jetstar with 72, Fuji Dream Airlines with 62, Peach Aviation with 58, Star Flyer with 57, AIRDO with 54, Solaseed Air with 48, Japan Transocean Air with 17, Spring Airlines Japan with 10, AirAsia Japan with 8 and Japan Air Commuter with 6.
International cancellations include 112 All Nippon Airways flights into and out of Haneda and Narita, except for some early morning and late evening services. Japan Airlines will cancel 75 international flights, mainly to and from Haneda and Narita.
