A Delta flight from LaGuardia airport to Chicago O’Hare International Airport made an emergency landing in Buffalo, New York Wednesday night.
A Niagara Frontier Transportation authority spokesman said a passenger’s laptop started smoking.
A flight attendant poured water on the laptop, putting out the smoke.
Even so, the plane made the temporary stop in Buffalo — and firefighters recovered the laptop for further examination.
None of the 53 people on board were hurt, and the flight continued on to Chicago.
