EU Commission to propose ban on air travel from southern Africa region due to ‘variant of concern’ B.1.1.529.
European commission president Ursula von der Leyen says she has recommended EU governments to pull an “emergency brake” stopping all air travel to countries in southern Africa in light of the emergence of the B.1.1.529 coronavirus variant.
