Morocco’s government has decided to suspend flights to and from Germany, UK, and the Netherlands.
The suspension will take effect starting today at 23:59 p.m. local time, the National Office of Airports (ONDA) reported.
The measure will be in effect until further notice, the statement added.
Royal Air Maroc (RAM) also tweeted about the suspension of flights to and from the destinations, citing an order from Moroccan authorities.
The decision is part of Morocco’s efforts to contain and control the positive epidemiological situation in the country after witnessing a remarkable improvement.
Recently, the UK recorded a soaring number of COVID-19 cases.
Morocco’s government takes proactive measures depending on another country’s epidemiological situation to maintain the north African country’s epidemiological situation, and keep it under control.
