Ryanair have banned alcohol on a flight from Glasgow to Ibiza
The airline told their passengers that they will no longer able to take any alcohol on board the flight.
Ryanair bosses yesterday confirmed that it is for only one of their flights that have been hit by the new restriction.
An email was being sent to passengers flying to Ibiza saying
“Customers will not be allowed to carry alcohol on board and all cabin baggage will be searched at boarding gates”
“Any alcohol purchased in airport shops or elsewhere must be packed in a suitable item of baggage which will be tagged and place in the aircraft hold free of charge”. Customer that are attempting to conceal alcohol will be denied travel without refund”
Last September, the same flight had hit the headlines when a video had emerged showing drunk passengers changing, swearing and stamping their feet on the plane.
In 2013, the flight had to be diverted to Paris because of drunk passengers causing disruption.
The Irish airline said “The comfort and safety of our customers and crew is our number one priority and we will not tolerate unruly behaviour at this time.”
