Following yesterdays announcement of Norwegian’s new route expansion to Las Vegas, the Norway-based Low Cost Carrier have announced a further order for 2 more Boeing B787-9 Dreamliners. The 2 aircraft will be leased and expected to be delivered by 2018. This will bring the airline’s Dreamliner fleet to 42 by 2020.
The airline are to receive the aircraft from CIT Aerospace. Norwegian CEO Bjørn Kjos said: “In order to offer customers more routes and make our intercontinental operation even more competitive, we need more brand new, cost-efficient aircraft. Our intercontinental operation is crucial to the company’s global growth and the creation of new jobs. The Dreamliner is a great airplane with high passenger comfort, long range, low fuel burn and reduced emissions.”
