Low cost airline Norwegian continues their UK expansion by putting on sale a brand new route from London Gatwick to Crete. The airline will be operating one way fares for £29.90. This marks the 5th new summer route that the airline is introducing for this summer.
The flights are due to start on April 28th and will be operated by their Boeing B737-800 aircraft 3 times per week and will offer free Wi-Fi on the service also. The Boeing B737-800 configuration that Norwegian have on their fleet holds 186 seats per flight.
Thomas Ramdahl, Chief Commercial Officer at Norwegian said: “We’re serious about offering more choice, flexibility and low-fares for our passengers. Crete is a fantastic addition to our growing UK route network which now serves more than 40 destinations nonstop. Travel patterns have changed and so Crete offers an attractive alternative for sun-seekers. With affordable fares from £29.90, we expect Brits to flock to the Greek island this summer with the added bonus of having free Wi-Fi on board our flights.”
This 5th new addition to the Gatwick portfolio supports the huge expansion that the airline has been making out of Manchester & Edinburgh offering flights to Alicante, Malaga & Barcelona from Manchester and with new flights to Barcelona from Edinburgh to start in June.
Norwegian are also offering 425,000 brand new Transatlantic seats to UK passengers in the summer with new direct flights to Oakland & San Fransisco due to launch on May 12th offering a 7th low-cost route to the US from the UK.
