NOVA SCOTIA – A British Airways Airbus A350-1000 (registration G-XWBR), en route from Las Vegas to London Heathrow, declared an emergency late Wednesday night while cruising over Atlantic Canada.
The flight, BA274, departed Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) at approximately 9:00 PM local time.
After roughly four hours of uneventful flight at a cruising altitude of 39,000 feet, the flight crew transmitted a Squawk 7700 code—the international signal for a general emergency—as the aircraft entered airspace near Nova Scotia.
