The crew of the Boeing 777F (registration N714SA) declared an emergency immediately after takeoff, saying that “it appeared that an engine was on fire.”
After a problem occurred with the right engine of the aircraft, the cargo plane dumped fuel over the ocean and landed normally on Narita Airport’s Runway A at 11:26 a.m., just over an hour after takeoff.
According to the airport office, there were four crew members on board.

The airline canceled the next departure on the 4th and is conducting maintenance and inspection of the aircraft.
As a result, Narita Airport’s Runway A was closed for more than 30 minutes immediately after takeoff and after landing.
